After months of planning, devising, building and refining, Yermedea Raw has made it to La Mama by way of 95 Empire in downtown Providence and the Factory Theatre in Boston (produced by Sleeping Weazel). One smooth load-in/tech and an incredible performance behind us, we are gearing up for the 2, 12-hour cycles this Saturday and Sunday at La Mama. Yermedea plays at 4:15 on Saturday the 17th.
After a highly successful run at 95 Empire in downtown Providence, Yermedea Raw moves on to Boston before our final performances at La Mama E.T.C in New York City! Wish us luck as we share with the Boston community!
Also, check out our education efforts in Providence! Education Outreach Coordinator Francesca Montanile coordinated workshops with Providence immigrant community organizations, engaging the participants in the history of genocide in El Salvador with members of the Yermedea Raw cast. Read an article by Ale Flavia (Yerma) on the Yermedea Raw blog below!
